I have used Advanced Auto Parts as my parts supply store for many years. Actually since they were "Western Auto" exclusively. I went in a local store on Canton Rd. Marietta, GA recently to have them put their scanner on my car to see what code was coming up. Advanced Auto sells disc brake pads with a "LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY". The pads I bought from them wore out in less than 9 months and less than 5000 miles. I requested warranty replacements and to my surprise, Advanced Auto said the pads were not warrantied against premature wear out! I purchased a battery at the Zephyrhills florida location on December 28th 2015, on August 14th 2016 the battery had a bad cell. I had to call AAA for assistance. I could not find my reciept and i mysteriously disappeared from their computer system. They refused to help me. I continuously get better customer service and prices from Car Quest. Advance employees repeatedly refuse to look for parts at nearby stores or provide totals on large orders. Advance Employees are less knowledgeable about the parts they carry. Commercial account holders with Advance pay as much as retail Car Quest customers in our region. I purchased my item using my debit card. Afterwards i realized that i would not need it so i decided to return the part. He explained to me that he would have to refund the money to my card instead of cash. After i showed him the attached picture he said " that's assuming the store has that cash on hand." Poor customer service in the store as I visit to pick up my online order. An after a few weeks waiting for my rebate, they claimed that the offer that they had in their website was not in effect, even when I bought the exact same product in their promotion within their time-frame and claim my rebate during their time frame too. Purchased spark plugs today. Asked if they could make sure gap is correct. They said that's already done at the manufacture. Eye-balled a couple and noticed they were way off. In fact one was almost closed. They have me a gap checker told him can't even get this one in the tool. Used the tool to adjust all four.
