I purchased a ihome car mount iPhone ... 19.99 /3 days later had receipt, had not opened /tried to return.. the boy that was at the register /did not ask me to slide my card when doing the transaction

then he said, it declined the return? (weird) then he said i'll have to give you back cash , he proceeded to do the transaction and it declined... he ask the female ? manager or worker Deanna to come over ...when she saw the print out , she said " it declined your return. I said I ve never had this to happen .... She said , you can call the number and see why. I said , "Ya'll need to find out why ... by this time i really thought something was very very WEIRD ... the both of them NEVER OFFERED TO / GIVE ME CREDIT and they acted like .. I wasn't DUE THE CREDIT. I shared that i drove 20 min drive to return the item quick , 3 days ----not opened. Deanna said CALL THE NUMBER... I SAID I WILL , right now.. she popped off " they are closed now." then she said " HAVE A GOOD DAY, HAVE A GOOD DAY... " AT THAT TIME I LEFT THAT ALBERTVILLE AL STORE AND DROVE TO Boaz, AL Store , 11 mins away walked in and Matt said sure I'll give you credit , he and another boy credited my card in 3 mins.. SOMETHING IS GOING ON AT YOUR ALBERTVILLE AL STORE ????? I d be getting upper CEO to ck!!!!!! Sad for Advance ... But my husband always says " Go to O'Reily 's " I see why . I will Never go in the Store again and by the way >>>>>> I was the only customer in there . they were smarties and didn't care if i drove 20 mins and didn't even care if they sought to find out why YOUR COMPUTER WOULDN'T WORK ... MY GUESS IS THAT STORE HAD LOW Quota!!!!! and she sought to help the process!!!!of it not closing . What is wrong with those employees . I ask the Boaz store , why could you give me credit and they wouldn't ??? fishy .....He was familiar with Deanna .... Later that day my cousin told me she didn't go to ADVANCE ... only O'Reily s ..... Well I see why!!!!I would fix this attitude they have toward CUSTOMERS , AFTER ALL THEY SPEND THEIR MONEY FOR THE BUSINESS TO STAY OPEN!!!!.... This has never happened anywhere i have shopped .... Personal attitude should not play a role in a return and they should do everything to give credit , not avoid and send the customer AWAY. " A STATEMENT LIKE THS SHOULD BE PRACTICE, " Let's see what's going on, we will get you credit .... troubleshooting the issue , till i GOT CREDIT,,, This cost me GAS< TIME < MONEY

Complaint on store not putting my warranty on file

I’ve made several purchases from advance auto and today I went in to do a warranty exchange and they have non of my purchases on file and refused to do the exchange. The tool I came in to exchange is from an advanced auto parts brand and I received no help to rectify this problem that’s not my fault as I always give my number for warranty

You as the consumer must verify purchase through a receipt that you saved. They are not an online storage database for your needs. You must prove that your are the original buyer.

I asked a for advanced auto as a price matching policy and I was told there advanced auto only in price matches local competitors such as auto zone. When you look up advance auto's price match policy as says that they price match any competitor in store and online

i purchased 2 moog wheel hubs that were defective with a 3 year waranty. i had to remove them to return them so i had to purchase 2 more. aparantly under waranty you do not get your money back even though advanced auto parts sold me defective parts.

Autoparts stores(most of them) is you get the defective part replaced by another. You do not get your money back.

As for defects its not the parts stores fault that the manufacturer made a defective part. I know my local store makes you contact the manufacturer as they are the ones that made the warranty, not the store.

Store manager treated me like a criminal

Ive been using advanced auto parts for about 30 years, I bought a fuel pump for my jeep about a week ago. after some research I found a more complete kit cheaper online. I went to return the part and the store manager said there where parts missing and would not refund, credit or in anyway compensate me for a parts kit that was sold to me as the way I brought it back, all but calling me a thief and a liar, I had never been treated that way in any AAP store. this managers name is Cindy in store 8193 on hwy 17 in Savannah Ga., as long as she works for AAP I and anyone I know or tell will not be buying parts from AAP, the only way I could ever go back in that store is if she wasn't working there. there is lots of competition in auto parts and much easier for me to take my business elsewhere. #bad experience at AAP

Corporate stupidity!

I work at an advance auto store. For the past several months all we have heard from the manager is UPT, UPT, UPT, we have to hit 2.2 units per transaction on each and every sale. We finally managed to

do that and now it is 2.5 UPT. We have been instructed to ring up each item separately, and not use the feature on the registers that

identifies an item and then asks for how many. I don't pretend to be the smartest person in the world, but can someone within the upper management team please explain to me how ringing up a sale as ( a quantity of 6 items at $6.79 each) or as ($6.79+$6.79+$6.79+$6.79+$6.79+$6.79) changes the store bottom line for the day by a single penny, or adds any more profit to the company? All I see this doing is get the store manager a $500 gift card for winning the contest and the District Manager a big fat bonus, and the team members who actually did the selling get nothing for the second, third, and fourth years in a row!!! If I was a stock holder and my stock profits were riding upon ideas like this to somehow pretend that the sales numbers were better because of a trick I would not be happy!!! This kind of

management BS will do nothing to help with winning out against the competition.

I purchased a new battery Nov. 2018, never thought to look at date on new purchase. So when my car wouldn’t start Feb., 2019 I never thought it was the battery. I was able to get it to a mechanic which said it was battery and date on it was 2016. So I had to go to Advance auto in Denham Springs they didn’t have one, failed to mention this before I drove there. Then they said would have one when they opened the following morning so I drove back to Denham Springs, La and still no battery. They sent me from there to Hammond, La. store for battery then I had to bring it to the Forbes automotive. I drove a total of 103.7 miles trying to get a battery.
