Speed perks reward program

I've shopped exclusively at advanced auto parts for over 20 yrs. I joined their speed perks program as soon as it started .

It was good for the first couple of years. This past year (2017), i can't get any rewards no matter what i do. Every time I try to order online i get kicked out.

Every time I go to the store i give them my email and they ask me to sign up for speed perks. I m done.

I ordered a wheel for my car for $305 I was supposed to get a 25% discount when I checked my bank they took out $327 Advance Auto nice!. I don't know how they could get away with this but I want my money back.

I'll give u fifty words allright.

I have spent hundreds with them and their so called speed perks does not work. They are screwing me again

Service worker with attitude

My battery went bad.i dropped it off about 2pm. Ben said he would check and give me a call when he was done.great guy. Ben call me back about 5pm. The charger kicked off battery was bad. Ben said come up and we will give you another batery.i got there about 5:20. I talked to young lady about battery. She said ok. And i got inline.when my turn was up she didnt know how to process transaction. Joe said he woild do it after he was done with his costumer. Go to the next person in line. I stood next to old battery quietly. Joe gets done. Looks up at next costumer and saya whos next.i said i was next and the next costumet points at me. Joe goes off stating how am i to know when you came in. But he watched me walk over to the battery..so i tried to explain to joe. You just told you co worker to tell me you would serve me after you got done. I tried to get this out 3xs. Each time joe interuped me and got loud.he was so ignorant.i stopped and let him go customers were laighing at him. Then joe realized he was making a spectical of himself he stopped shouting.but kept harrassing me.he asked me for my phone number i said to joe it is on the paperwork.he started getting ignorant again then saw when he snatched the paperwork off the battery he dropped one of the papers.then sarcasticly picked the paper up saying oh you mean this paper.looks me up sees my address and still asked me my address to put in system. I said it slowly so he could keep up he asked me again for second half of address.i told him again slowly. He had the nerve to ask me for the zip code. Now i know he was screwing with me.i say ok i know what i have to do now to the costumer behind me. He knotted yes. Joe goes off again stating you can do what you want im not scared of you. I turned back and said sir i was not talking to you and i did nothing to you in a threating manner.i dont know what is wrong with joe. But i dont appreciate his bad atittude. I buy my parts from advance auto parts as im a locate mechanic.i buy alot on line. But im not going to put up with joes atittude when i did nothing to him.

Iwas shopping at your store at 77 Bloomfield ave Bloomfield Nj and i was next in line for service when all of a sudden a customer that had came in behind me jumped in front of me to be served by the cashier i had objected to him doing that and had told the cashier that i was to be served next instead of him but the cashier Served him anyway I then asked to speak to a manager to lodge a formal written complaint and their attitude was that or trivializing and ridiculing my complaint .I have been shopping at your stores for years and never have i ever been so humiliated andtreated so bad this happen around 4:15pm and the store Mgmt would not allow me to make an written complaint is that the policy of your store when the customer is treated disrespectful that thay can not make a written complaint

Why pick on the cashier. You're beef is with the person who jumped in front of you!!!!

But I guess its best to pick on somebody smaller than you or a corporation so you could make a name for yourself. In my mind it was trivial, but I was also taught to fight your own battles, don't cry for help which to me is what you did.

I am a female, after learning on route home that both brakes lights were out. I stopped in Advance Auto to purchase lights. I asked the guy who waited on me how difficult to put in.He asked if I was going to put them in now(YES) he offered no assistance, though I was going to ask him to help, he took off very fast and went to the back. As I was in the process of putting the lights in he can out for a smoke and looked the other way. I hope this company stays in business, with lazy, unconcern employee.THIS THE IRMO BRANCH, AROUND THE CORNER FROM KROGERS. THANKS

The employees are not permitted to put bulbs in vehicle due to law suits and damage-Welcome to the 21st century where everyone wants to take anyone to court. Also being a female has nothing to due with it. Kind of like playing the race card.

Went to have battery tested and replaced. Employee wouldnt help me because it was raining. Went down the street to Autozone and they tested and replaced it for me. Advance auto will never get my business again.

Advance Auto Parts - Car Part Replacement Review

I originally purchased a replacement part for my vehicle at the Lafayette, IN Advanced Auto located on Teal Road; (store hours 7:30a-9:30p POSTED on door and online). After tearing down my truck's engine, turned out the part that was initially purchased despite the employee's uncertainty of the replacement part being heated or not per the store's search for my vehicle being the exact part, although telling me he was "pretty sure it had to be because the way the other part was shaped, it wouldn't fit or make sense". However it was the wrong part. Upon driving across town to return the wrong part, two employees that were immediately available to handle the return, decided that even though the store hours were to be operating, they were suddenly closed minutes after 9p. It's one thing if I was unsure of what I needed and would be shopping around, however to just have a simple return to be made, that was apparently just too much work for these two employees to do. This is absolutely the most ridiculous management. After this experience, I will not be making any future purchases with advanced auto parts, I will take my business to Autozone. Employees wouldn't be receiving a paycheck if not for us customers purchasing products. So to have such a level of disrespect and laziness as my welcome upon walking into the store, that's not something I will pay money and contribute to their paychecks for. Moveras transmission

first let me say advance auto parts handled their part of trans action great! but moveras sent me a bad transmission that was no good from the start (bad upon installation warped valve body) when cold it would hit 2nd and 5th gears very hard and after warm up would stay in 2nd gear and not shift at all after 40 miles of driving. i had to buy new fluids $125.00 and pay to have it removed and replaced again $480.00 (2007 dodge 2500 diesel) only reimbursed $220 for labor nothing else i reccomend you do not buy one of moveras transmissions they don't stand behind their product and wasted my time and money,a good company would have paid for all labor and new fluids seeing as the transmission was no good when it left their warehouse and was no fault of the consumer

Do not waste your money. This transmissions won't last they are poorly rebuilt and the warranty is worthless.

I fell for that too and I lost a lot.

ended up buying another one from other company. Moveras did not honor their warranty neither they pay anything for my trouble

Morveras transmissions are junk not worthy of even one star. No good from the get go.

I got two months of driving out of it before it just stopped going.

5 months last they still have not sent a replacement. Sorry product, sorry people!

Sales people are great, but be careful of the rebate offers. When you submit you rebate request, you get only a fractuionof what was offered due to some technicality.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

On a trip grocery store run I came back to my truck finding that my starter had decided to die while the kids and I were in the store. Immediately, my husband came and we had the truck towed home. I went online to order a new starter from Advance Auto Parts, because we purchase from them 95% of the time because their online purchasing is super fast and convenient. I selected the option to have the part picked up from our closest store...Oxford,NC. As usual we printed the receipt and the part was suppose to be ready in 30 minutes. We went to the store where there were two associates trying assist pulling the part, then out comes another Associate that comes and takes over. She stated that the part we were given by the other associates was new and our online order said we purchased a remain. Ok, so where is our part? She said she did not know and it was not at her store. How could that be we were able to order online and it clearly stated that the part was in Inventory in the Oxford NC store. I immediately get on the phone with Customer Service and the rep apologized and said the store must not be updating their inventory list so online showed a false selection. He stated that the part was in the Henderson store just one town over from us, and all the Associate had to do was fill out paper work for the order to be sent to SECOND pick up location. Well Ms. Rebecca Troutman decided she would CANCEL our order completely and declined to do the necessary paperwork while we were on the phone with Customer Service. By this time we were pissed. If filling out paper work was the only thing she had to do why did not she do that? She told us our money would be returned to the card and we would have to do the online order all over again. This was such an inconvenience because we had our 10mth old with us and my husband had to get back to work. All he wanted to do is come install the part with ease because it was only 5 minutes away from us NOT one whole town over 20+ minutes away! Ms. Troutman was rude and very nonchalant about our issue. She just stood there looking at us like she had something to prove. She had a chance to fix "her" store's mistake and rudely declined. It upsets us that this happen because we use this store frequently, but I guess from now on we will try to use the store close to my husband's job more than the one in our home town! Back on MARCH 14th I had a friend whom I referred through the refer a friend system online at advance. She made over the $50 min purchase and also got HER $10 credit after the purchase. However I never got mine. I called advance they said to call another company who handles their speed perks and promotional items. So I called them. No one seemed to understand what I was talking about but after the 4th person someone with a brain finally answered and long story short I would get a $10 GIFT CARD in the mail in 6-8 weeks, and it was already being processed. Well now it's July and still NOTHING!! I feel betrayed like I was used to strum up business for them and still never got what I was promised . Shame I would've referred more people had it went through...

Advanced Will Not Stand By Product

Purchased wheel spacers, $40 and were professionally installed. Car shook horribly with spacers and new tires. Tire Dealer after two hours unable to balance wheels with spacers but were successful without spacers. Brought back to Advanced Auto 3 days after sale and asked for refund or store credit. They refused to offer either because, 'they could not resell product'. So, they are OK selling bad products and losing customers...was an ez fix for them, but did not take the high road. Further, Manager did not have dignity to tell me this and in his stead had a store clerk who had went in the back to explain, wimp! Not cool. Looks like I'll be shopping at Discount or NAPA...if they treat all customers like this, they'll out of biz soon enough, cool for me, bad for their workers.

Advance Auto Parts - Moveras 4L80E Transmission Review from Wausau, Wisconsin

Even though they are marketed as having the best transmissions, avoid Movarus transmissions. We bought one and followed all the installation notes and the first did not work, they sent us a second that only worked when"cold" and then a third replacement that was good for 7 months and failed again. Advance Auto would not cover a 4th trans as they said we had gotten 2 replacements already and we must be abusing them.

My installer still charged me $375.00 per transmission and none of that was covered either.

Went to the advanced in council bluffs yesterday looking for new alternator battery and belt...guy looks at alt. says we can't get that kind. I called my husband he talked to the guy and the guy told a female worker to look for... Then he grabbed his keys and left. She claims she is not good with autos and the other guy in there is new and knows even less. I sat for an hour with barely any help...apparently David Partido needed a lunch break and left us all hanging...she's says he is a manager...ha!!! Not impressed with that at all. He should be FIRED!!!

Advance Auto Parts saved me.

On 6/27/15. I was traveling alone in the maine turnpike when I noticed my battery light on my dash-board.

this could only mean my battery was loosing voltage do to a bad alternator, I managed to make it thirty miles to my exit and another tenth of a mile to an Advance Auto Parts store, where my truck died in their parking lot. I walked in talked to a girl named Stephanie behind the counter and told her I had problems,

she set me up with the parts I needed, the store manager Todd overheard our conversation and asked if there was anything he could do to help or if I needed to borrow their tools to do the job. When the new alternator was installed Todd moved his truck near mine and jump started my batteries.

I will be forever grateful to Stephanie and Todd for helping me that day, and for all the employees of Advance auto Parts on RT 27 North of Augusta Maine for treating me a total stranger like family. Thanks
