Customer service is USELESS. I bought 2 rotors and 4 brake pads 2 weeks ago. I went to return them to the origin al store that I bought them from on Buford Highway, in Norcross, Ga. They were unused and unopened! They would not refund me my money. I had my origional reciept! This is the first time I have ever returned anything to them ever! Wtf Wtf Wtf Wtf Wtf Wtf

Advance Auto Parts in Stanley, North Carolina - Remanufactured alternator

The garage I used replaced the alternator on my 1988 Cadillac. The alternator lasted less than 1,000 miles and stopped working. I removed the alternator and took it to a local auto electric shop. They opened up this "remanufactured" alternator with 1,000 miles and found the brushes worn out, the brush holders worn out and the voltage regulator bad. When this alternator was "rebuilt" Advance wouldn't pay enough to get good rebuilds but the rebuilder wanted to make a sale so they supplied them with substandard "patched up" parts at a low price. This same thing happens with brake drums and rotors and also starters. Go to a local parts store not a national firm and expect to pay enough to get an alternator that really has been rebuilt and not "patched up".

If you want a labor warranty, let the shop buy the parts. They get a 90 day labor warranty that the walk in customer dosen't get.

Well not everything on their site is available at the store. He did refer you to get help now you mock him.

Let me get this straight, you call a parts store, ask a question, they tried and could not help, but referred you to someone who possibly could. Now if I go to my regular doctor and he does not know what to do, he will refer me to a specialist.

Advance employees are not allowed to install bulbs anymore. About 3 years ago our district manager told us to start passing the word to our customers. Corporate policy keeps us for doing it anymore.

Mr. Glen Rubin I recently purchased wiper blades for my 2001 Toyota pick up at your advanced auto store in Franklin New Jersey. I served as a mechanic for close to 15 years in my younger day and still repair my own vehicles, a 2001 Toyota pick and a 2014 Nissan versa note. When I bought the wipers, I went outside to put them on my pick up truck and I could not get the old wipers to release, burying my pride, I went inside and asked Darylann if she could help me put the wipers on the truck , within a minute she replace both wipers. I stated to her, wait till I go home and tell my wife that I couldn't replace the wipers and the manager of the store had to do it for me. Darylann was an ultimate professional, she never made me feel uncomfortable was very humble and said thanks for shopping at advanced auto parts. Since I purchased all my parts at advanced auto parts I started dealing with the original store on route 23 and saw a remarkable increase in service and the attitude of employees once a Darylann became manager of the store. She is definitely an asset to your organization very professional and Sets a positive atmosphere in the store. As a result, I recommend many people to the Franklin store . I went online to write the corporate office and echo the same sentiments but there was no way to give a positive feedback , so I had to add this in the complaint section of the online form. I couldn't figure out how to use the online service to thank the corporation for hiring people like Darylann , so I would recommend that you make it easier to give positive feedback online. I explained the situation and Darylann and asked for your email address.
