I bought (2) Bosch wipers at Advance, installed by their associate. First wiper failed in about a week, which they replaced at no charge.
Then about 6 months later, I was driving on Oakton St. at about 40 mph & turned on my windshield washers. Fluid started squirting and Bosh wiper flew out of the metal arm, but the fluid kept on squirting and metal arm scratching the windshield until the cycle completed. By now 90% of the windshield was covered with fluid almost completely obstructing my view.
I was able to pull over to a side street, thanks to some kind drivers behind me & temporarily fix the problem. Thank God that I was not on the highway or I would have been in an accident. The Bosch wiper design is seriously flawed. The OEM wipers lasted 5 years & it was the rubber that started streaking; the retainer was still good.
Advance manger M. Aguilar said that he couldn't replace the blade because it was past 90 days. I called the Bosch office in Broadview.
Receptionist sent my call to voicemail & I'm still waiting for a return call. Any lawyers out there that think I can sue Bosch for a new windshield in small claims court?
