I just want to pass along a great experience I had at the Waxhaw North Carolina Advance store.. I walked in needing parts for my rear suspension shocks and bushings. John I believe the store manager helped me at the counter I didn't know exactly what parts are needed but he spent about 15 minutes with me trying to find the parts that fit on the computer. ordered the parts in that day installed them and everything fit 100%. just want to thank John at the Waxhaw North Carolina store for all the help.

I have been trying to fix my Chevy Tahoe all weekend and spending a lot of money, DEPRESSING. So I looked online at your website for a A/C discharge line then went in your store at 1225 East Beltline Rd, Desoto, TX 75115 where I met Jessica. I am soooo overjoyed she assisted me. She was extremely patient and she searched effortlessly to find me the best price and quality for my vehicle. She saved me about $70 - $80 bucks and because of her you have a new customer for life! Chase B. Checked my sensors, nothing was reading wrong so he popped the hood, started car & went straight to SPARK PLUGS JUST BY LISTENING TO THE ENGINE!!! I WAS ABLE TO BUY REPLACEMENT SPARK PLUGS, USED LOANER TOOLS RIGHT THERE IN PARKING LOT & IT WORKED, FIXED MY IMMEDIATE CAR PROBLEM. IF THIS YOUNG MAN HADNT BEEN SO DILIGENT I WOULD HAVE BEEN STRANDED WITH A BROKE DOWN CAR. How is it that a girl named Lakyn that works at store 8092 always calls in or is late can't work 80% of the week shows up a hour late don't get wrote up and still gets promoted to part time key holder when another girl always on time besides when she was 12 minutes late but she always covers for everyone who calls in don't even get a chance to be the Key holder. There is another worker named Sherry who comes to work high forgets to do stuff calls in or forgets she has to work so she ends up being 2 hours late doesn't get wrote up at store 8092 but she also gets to be a key holder. How is this even close to being fair to the people who actually work hard when the people that don't work or do their job gets more hours and high positions which makes scheduling tough like Saturday evening only 2 people were available to work none of which was a key holder how is the store gonna close with no key holder? So now the person who does the schedule has to redo it a 3rd time... Store 8092 need better key holders non drug addicts and people who are actually willing to give it their all...

I just wanted to give positive comments about the store located at 1817 University Ave, DM, IA. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a battery and windshield wipers replaced by a technician named David Spalding and he was calm and efficient even when he had a hard time removing my battery. I will be back to that store for all of my auto needs. Thank them for a job well done!

We stopped at Advance Auto in Macon Georgia to purchase an item and the associate helped us with it then the car would not start the same assistant came out checked the battery cleaned the posts and replaced the clamp and we were so happy that's where we were when it happened his name is KT and we so appreciated him,, thank you KT!

I have been a loyal customer of advance for 3 generations, About 3 months ago I purchased a Gear wrench set of 3/8 and 1/4 inch drive set of sockets and ratchets and also a complete set of Gear wrench ratchet wrenches pictured here. At what I believed was a very good deal seeing how they have a lifetime warranty.

A week ago I was replacing the plugs in my girlfriends Isuzu Trooper which I also purchased from Advance Auto. When I encountered one of the plugs had obviously been cross threaded by the previous mechanic,well to make a long story short the 3/8 drive ratchet gears stripped and became useless so I said no problem seeing how I have always had impeccable service and outstanding loyalty from Advance, I grab my broken 3/8 ratchet hop in my vehicle and off I go to my local Advance store at 6443 Ironbridge Rd Richmond Va. 23234. I walk in with a smile on my face and the confidence of years of awesome service and friendly people, I am greeted by Latino Gentleman I told him my issue, he then called his female supervisor who informed me was a warranty issue and ask me if I had a receipt,II informed them no, at that time he said loudly and I quote “FOR ALL WE KNOW YOU COULD HAVE FOUND THE RATCHET ON THE GROUND AND ARE JUST TRYING TO GET A NEW ONE” I being very embarrassed, thanked them and walked out the door.

I being totally humiliated,frustrated and angry to say the least,sat in my car with my broken ratchet in my lap and contemplating what to do, decided to go down the street to your competitor whom I won’t say and purchased another pack of Gear wrench 3/8,1/4 ratchets and was informed by the gentleman that receipt or not he would be glad to replace them if broken, because Gear wrench would replace it for him when turned in, he even offered to replace the broken ratchet I purchased from Advance, I declined his offer, as I believe Advance has such a relationship with Gear wrench also and will do the right thing and replace my 3/8 ratchet. As far as you employees with their rude and slanderous comments, I’m not sure that we will ever shop at Advance Auto Parts again. We most certainly will never shop at your Ironbridge store again.

The way I was treated was rude and very unprofessional and I would hope as a business owner myself their actions and comments will be corrected as not to lose future customers. I had the same thing happen at my advance auto today with a gear wrench breaker bar that broke on me. The would not exchange it. Poor service.

The reason is quite simple. You PEOPLE are thieves and scammers!!

Oh sure, there is a even chance that the OP is a good red blooded American citizen who has never taken anything or scammed anyone. And yet, the complete and exact opposite can be true. The OP could be a serial scammer who goes to yard sales and buys broken tools and makes a tidy profit turning in warranties. They don’t know.

They CANT know. Telepathy isnt a gift they give you in any employee training. They can only go on the experience they have dealt with. Trust me, not getting your way doesn’t make them bad.

Questions about your integrity doesn’t make them bad. In fact, if you’re indeed a businessman, they did everything right. Not buying your tale of woe without a receipt IS THIER JOB!!!! I don’t know what business you may or may not run but them not just giving you a free tool was the correct decision.

YOU don’t like it because they DO have a point. How are they to KNOW that you deserve a new tool. By your admission you only brought in the one tool. Had you brought in the whole set so they could be sure you had indeed purchased their product the situation would have unfolded differently.

You instead chose the most ignorant and bullheaded approach and expected positive results. Yes they want a receipt and it’s YOUR duty and responsibility to keep one. They don’t need the actual receipt. They need the information off of said receipt.

Pre smart phones I used a flat bed scanner for all my receipt records. Now I take a picture.

Two ways to cover yourself that do not require you to keep the receipt. Maybe start one of these so you have less problems.

It's a stupid policy; why would anyone offer a lifetime warranty with the implications it carries only to then alienate any customer who ever purchased that product line and subsequently needed to use the warranty. That's shady.

To *** with that, I was going to try and return mine but I'll sooner throw it in the garbage and take my money to a competitor. Tried calling just now and they were like, "well, we can only pull records for things you've bought from this one store." I've shopped no less than a half dozen different locations in the STL area over the last 20 years, and you can't even link your stores up?

Gear wrench replaces the wrenches for Advance, Joe ,Blo or even the guy that buys the wrench from the flea market Advance Auto is just a means of replacing gear wrenches broken items, SO *** OFF!!!!!

So you are upset because you weren't catered too. EVERYWHERE requires proof of purchase for a return or warranty item.

Advance Auto isn't the only place that carries gear wrench. That why EVERYONE's return policy or warranty says WITH PROOF OF PURCHASE.

I'd have left them the broken ratchet ... through the coincidentally broken window ... I'm not afraid of a vandalism charge, restitution, or anger management classes, but to sit in your car all {{Redacted}} whining about rudeness with the tool in your lap is symbolic ; handle it firmly by following procedure or go hide somewhere else.
