While waiting in line while the guy yacked on the phone, he finally hung up. Then he said something abut not having money in register.

He told me that I needed to go the other register. There was a man and woman behind me and he proceeded with their purchase,, while I stood in the other line and a couple young guys were just twiddling their thumbs. Why wait on the other people but he wouldn't wait on me? I put my item back on the shelf and left.

I am sure it's on tape. This business always treats women different. They can keep their ***, I won't be back.

If a large cash refund has depleted the limited register funds, you will be asked to go to a different register that has the funds necessary to make change for your cash purchase. If others use non cash payment forms such as debit, credit, or check, they can still be cashed out on the depleted cash funds drawer. You didn't specify the amount of the purchase nor the method of payment in your complaint, so my answer is plausible.
