Advance Auto Parts - Double charged for a battery

Because of a computer software malfunction at the register, I was double charged for a $142 battery.The woman at the store said that she could not give me credit because it would mess up their inventory (is that my fault?).

She requested that I print out my bank statement and fax it to their corporate office. I don't have a fax machine and I really don't feel like jumping through hoops to get money back that was mistakingly taken from me due to their malfunctioning software. I called corporate and they said the department I needed to talk to was out to lunch and that they would call me as soon as they returned. Five hours later (with no returned call) I called them again.

Once again, no one was available...

so I left a voicemail.It has been 45 minutes and no one has returned my call.

Advance is available 24/7 for their customers. Ome person doesn't control the complaints so saying that the person was out to lunch is an outright lie. If you were double charged it would be taken care of in store no problem.

I ALSO WAS DOUBLE CHARGED FOR PARTS I BOUGHT TOTAL WAS 86.96 AND THEY SAID I WOULD OF HAD 2 RECIEPTS , I THINK I WOULD OF NOTICED 2 RECIEPTS COME ON THE COMPUTER SYSTEM MESSED UP OR SOMETHING THEY SWOIPPED MY CARD 3 TIMES , SO NEXT DAY I CHECKED MY BALANCE AND SURE AS SXXX THERE WAS 2 CHARGES SAME AMOUNT A MINUTE APART WITH DIFFERENT TRANSACTION NUMBERS . THE MANAGER IN STORE SUWANEE GEORGIA SAID IT ONLY SHOWED ONE TRANSACTION IN HIS COMPUTER SYSTEM , I SHOWED MY ONLINE STATEMENT ON CELL HE BELIEVED ME BUT DIDNT REALLY CARE HE SAID I WOULD HAV ETO CALL MY BANK WELLS FARGO , SO I HAVE DISPUTED IT AND STILL WAITING A WEEK LATER AND NO WORD ON MY MONEY , I BET WELLS FARGO WOYLD CHARGE ME IF I HAD THIER MONEY AND SAME FOR ADVANCED AUTO , THEY SUCK , IT SUPOSE TO TAKE 10 DAYS BEFORE THE WILL CONTACT ME I AM SURE IT WILL BE EXACTLY TEN DCAYS BEFORE THEY LIFT A FINGER SUCK ONE , I HATE LARGE COMPANIES LARGE BANKS , I WILL NOT EVER GO TO ADVANCED AGAIN , I HAVE NEVER HAD ISSUE AT AUTO ZONE NOT TO SAY THEY ARE NOT RUDE ALOT BUT PEOPLE SUCK THESE DAYS .

You forgot your caps key. This happened to me too. Just go to the DM or there customer hotline. Got fixed in under a week.
