Advance auto customer service just clarified what "limited lifetime" means to them. It means if the part fails that's the limit of it life so its not covered.
Even defective parts just die early. Still not covered. The store I got the radiator from also said that every few years they dump their computer records so no record of my purchase exists. Then went on to speculate that I may have already returned the item.
This was even with the original receipt, copy of the receipt and the radiator.
The customer service person was polite and did explain that had the item malfunctioned in a few weeks they most surly would replace it. Word to the wise lifetime means "part" not "customer" so get in your vehicle and spend your repair money where people live and parts malfunction.
