I ordered battery online picked it up, I took old 1 with to save time and a return trip. The guy told me that the system would not process the refund yet too soon. He said at closing he would process the core return so I would get refund of $22 back. Never happened contacted customer service all i was offered was 25% off next purchase. Never again!

I went in the store with a quart of oil my husband bought the wrong brand and type I just needed to exchange I seen that you can exchange without a receipt even return but the “manager “ refused to and when I asked why it was because he needed a receipt which I know to be a lie and was just like no my car really needs the other quart of oil this was ridiculous over a 6.99 product

Lets get this straight, they called you and asked for info to cancel the order when it was unavailable, so you take offense to that. I guess they should of waited till you came in without a phone call to find out that the part you ordered was not available.

That way you could really get emotional and be upset. BOO HOO

Discrimination issue in the the Advance Auto Parts store #1605.

On Friday, June 24th, 2016 I went to the Advance Auto Parts store #1605 which located in 1401 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood, MD 21040 to pick a parts ordered for my car. I waited a few minutes until the salesperson has finished talking on the phone and approached said that I want to take my order and showed him a copy of the order №60591359. During next 10-15 minutes he has checked something, and I offered to him my ID if necessary. He was quite rudely replied that it is not a necessary, and if need be, he will ask ... I did not say anything because I thought that a man has not a very good day… After a few minutes he asked me something very quiet, but I did not understand and asked him to repeat again. Upon hearing my English accent, he turned back to me and spoke to the chief with a request to deal with me, since I did not understand anything and he cannot speak with me at all. He handled the demonstrators roughly and naked aggression. He’s name was Robert Amoroso. I told his manager that if the English is not my native language but I’m speaking with confidence and during many years of working in the US Department of Defense I've never had problems with understanding my accent. And moreover, even if I do not understand something, he must be repeating as many times as necessary, because I’m still client and came in this store for service ... I guess it was an explicit expression discrimination that should NOT be inherent in US country, and in the Advance Auto Parts stores as well. Over twenty years of my life in the US I have never get such rudeness as in your store, THAT WAS THE LAST TIME I SHOPPED AT ADVANCE AUTO PARTS. I have to tell others in Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and YouTube about my experience there at that particular store with this particular employee. Best regards, L. Shats

Advance Auto Parts in Clinton, Maryland - Over Charging

Recently I ordered parts on line and was charged 3X the order amount after looking at my bank statement, If I hadn't they would have gotten away with $117.60 of my money. They are carless about how they do business and If I hadn't brought it to their notice, they probably would have kept my money and never refunded that amount. I am finished with them,thay don't care about the customer and only make sure they get their money by charging 3X the amount, they must have a reward for over charging and probably get paid extre for the consumers ignorance

Unfortunately Advanceautoparts.com is a separate entity from the local Advance Auto Parts store you may or may not visit. The online operations, however, are based out of the home office in Roanoke, VA. I'd like to believe (but also doubt) that somebody would have noticed your triple purchase. I can assure you, with certainty, that nobody gets a bonus pay out for clerical errors with Advance Auto much like anywhere else in the world. In fact, such a mindset is a bit asinine though I do understand your frustration. Such a concept is akin to the same ideologies as counting your change or checking your order after leaving the drive through at Taco Bell as no single person or team is infallible.

The point of my humble response is to not blame the individuals who represent the face of Advance Auto in their stores, specifically a store like mine that used to be a private entity years ago until purchased by AAP. I'm proud of the work that I do assuring that all of my customers leave satisfied with the right part the first time every time. I know, as well, that I could be one in a million with this company. At the very least, my friend, I exist and I know the entirety of my team in my store in sunshiny FL strive for the same results for every person who walks through our doors.

I know you're already burnt and wont be back until Autozone or O'Reilly's burns you equally or worse but I'd just like to say don't lay a blanket statement over those who strive for excellence in the parts industry. An ASE P2 counterperson certification is quite a thing to earn and those who possess it carry it with high regards.
